Do I need a visa to visit the United Kingdom?

If you are visiting from abroad, you may need a visa for your stay.

Please check the official UK Government website for updates prior to travelling.

If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, you do not need a visa to visit the UK for holidays or short trips. You can cross the UK border using a valid passport which should be valid for the whole time you are in the UK.

If you’re a citizen of Canada, the USA, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand, then you do not require a visa to holiday in the UK. However, you will need to fill in forms to apply for entry clearance on arrival, and your stay duration is limited to a maximum of 6 months.

If you are wanting to work or study in the UK, check if you need to apply for a visa to enter the UK on the UK Government website.
