From 5 January 2021, national government restrictions apply to the borough of Tunbridge Wells. These are the latest guidelines for what you can and cannot do.

For the latest travel information keep checking the website of the British government.

Visit Tunbridge Wells is a service supplied by the Council of Tunbridge Wells Borough and is the official and reliable source of government information for visitors.

The English government has recently announced an array of closures, including non-essential retail and personal care venues e.g. hair and beauty salons as well as gyms. Whilst out, two metres space between people outside of your household or bubble remains essential.

You must by law wear a face covering in most indoor settings and continue to do so on public transport. Entry can be denied if you do not.

Here is some advice for safer travel on public transport via Arriva buses, Stagecoach buses, Southeastern railways and from the government.

You can view what is open for virtual shopping, deliveries and collections across the area as well as retail in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. Help Kent Buy Local is another fab website for outlets open for business further afield.

The Council owned public toilets, playgrounds and parks are open. In the town centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells these are in Crescent Road Car Park and in Calverley Grounds. All our Council owned parks and playgrounds are open too – for use with your household or bubble..
