Bistro
It's about serving up dishes that rely heavily on fresh and seasonal produce.
It's about enjoying moderately priced à la carte dining in a down-to-earth, warm and relaxing setting. All served by attentive and exceptionally knowledgeable waiting staff, happy to explain the dishes, the ingredients, and how our talented Chefs put them together.
Always on hand, your Sommelier is also ready to advise, guide, match or recommend the perfect wine. As for the décor - think natural daylight, reclaimed dark-stained floorboards, restored fireplaces, framed pictures and paintings, soft lighting and comfortable chairs. This is Bistro du Vin. Bistro dining at its heart warming, mouth-watering best.
Sunday Lunch
A soup course is followed by a help yourself lavish French Market Table, the centre-piece of Sunday Lunch at Hotel du Vin.
An exciting choice of fresh seafood, charcuterie, pâtés, rillettes and a selection of salads, vegetables and freshly baked artisan breads. Then a plethora of your Sunday lunch favourites including traditional roasts. And a few delectable delights to finish. Sunday lunch is available each Sunday from 12pm.
Afternoon Tea
Served daily from 12.00 – 6pm. Afternoon tea is the perfect combination of sweet and savoury, although a little naughty, it’s worth every bite. Washed down with a cup of tea from the outstandingly good tea infusions created for us by Twinings who boast a rich history producing classic tea blends and fruity infusions.
But it would be remiss not to try our suggested aperitifs such as classic Champagne or one of the inspired gins, each with its very own perfect accompaniments.
Begin with a selection of mini sandwiches and savouries. Including a Severn and Wye smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, egg and cress mayonnaise brioche sub, ham with Gruyère croissant, heritage tomato and tapenade galette, goat’s cheese and spinach quiche. The next course is a selection of warm scones served with a mixture of Bonne Maman jams, clotted cream and Lescure butter.
To finish, a few sweet mini treats of a lemon meringue pie, raspberry and dark chocolate teacakes and rhubarb and custard doughnuts. All topped off with homemade apple candy floss and a choice of teas.
Alfresco Dining
Join us at Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells this summer for some al fresco dining. There’s really nothing more delicious than the British summertime with warmer weather and longer days and of course seasonal food and drink to enjoy in the great outdoors.
