The Star and Eagle Hotel is a charming Hotel & Pub Restaurant located in Goudhurst, offering views of the surrounding orchards and hop gardens for which the area is renowned.
Steeped in history dating back to the 14th century, the Star and Eagle was once reputed to be an ancient monastery, with visible relics of vaulted stonework. During the 18th century, it served as the headquarters for the “Hawkhurst Gang,” notorious for robbing and terrorizing the district, as well as planning smuggling raids.

With ten bedrooms varying in style but all of the highest standard, The Star and Eagle ensures personal comfort. Tea and coffee making facilities, along with homemade shortbread biscuits, are provided in all rooms. Eight rooms feature en suite bath/shower facilities, while two family rooms share a shower room.
