Guided Walk, Outdoor

“Take a walk on the wild side this half-term and learn about some of the UK’s endangered species.

Hazel dormice have been in the UK since at least the last Ice Age – that’s more than 10,000 years – but the UK’s hazel dormouse population has decreased by 75% over the last 25 years.

Follow the trail to learn about Scotney’s own resident hazel dormice as well as other endangered UK species such as great crested newts, bats, hedgehogs, red squirrels, adders, water voles, beavers, natterjack toads, otters, and nightingales.

With games and activities along the way, discover which ones call Scotney their home and learn what you can do to help ensure their survival.”
