Russian flutist Maria Filippova made her concerto debut with the Symphony Orchestra of Nizhni Novgorod under the baton of Renat Zhiganshin in 2008. She has since performed in numerous concert halls across Russia and Europe.  After guesting with the Academy of Ancient Music for three years, she was appointed principal second flute in 2025. During her time with the ensemble, she has performed at prestigious venues across the UK, including Wigmore Hall, the Barbican Centre, and the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in 2023.

Iain Clarke is originally from the Isle of Arran in Scotland and works around London, the UK, and internationally as a collaborative and orchestral pianist. He has performed extensively across the UK in venues including Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Snape Maltings, Usher Hall and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Regular chamber partnerships include saxophonist Richard Scholfield (including two tours of Scotland in 2024), horn player Olivia Gandee and cellist Lavinnia Rae. His orchestral work sees him perform regularly with orchestras including the LSO, LPO, RPO, Philharmonia, RSNO and Britten Sinfonia around the UK as well as on tours in Europe and the USA.
