Did you know just a short 15-minute walk from Groombridge Station is the Birchden Vineyard and we’ve teamed up to offer you the chance to travel by train to Groombridge via Eridge, followed by the short walk to enjoy a delightful wine tasting before returning to Groombridge and taking the train back to Tunbridge Wells West.

They have a range of experiences available for you to enjoy and what better way to get there than by an old-fashioned heritage train ride? Your journey will be a combination of steam and diesel trains so you get the best of both worlds travelling through the stunning High Weald to get there! Each tour lasts around 90 minutes and then there is time for tasting at the end of your visit.

Children are welcome on these tours and can enjoy the delicious Birchden Apple Juice too!

Itinery – March

• 12:00 Vineyard Tour: Board the Spa Valley Railway 11:00 train at Tunbridge Wells West Station and travel to Groombridge, alighting at 11:15. Scroll down to book your train ride tickets, just £10 per person. You will need to make your own way on foot to the Vineyard. You MUST book your Vineyard Tour tickets through the Vineyards website here.
  
• Alight at Groombridge and make your way through the stunning countryside in Groombridge heading on a short 15-minute walk to Birchden Vineyard to enjoy a fabulous wine tasting experience. Click HERE to book your Wine Tasting!

• Trains depart Groombridge in the Tunbridge Wells bound direction at 15:01 and 16:16, please ensure you allow plenty of time to get back to Groombridge station, we recommend arriving at 14:55 or 16:10 to ensure you don’t miss the train, the last service bound for Tunbridge Wells is at 16:16!
