The Spa Valley Railway is hosting an exciting steam-hauled experience for everyone to enjoy over the weekend of 17th & 18th of July 2021.
Lose yourself on a ride along the Spa Valley line and witness the incredible Bulleid Pacific 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park’. Listen out for details of another visiting steam locomotive over the weekend.
There will also be brake van rides and the opportunity to drive a train for £10 during the weekend.
Make sure to try out the ‘Dining in the Weald’ experience which includes Gin & Steam, Fish & Chips, Ploughman’s lunch, Cream Tea, Afternoon Tea, Murder Mysteries, Sunday Lunch and Evening Dining on the High Weald Belle. Dining in the Weald events are available on various dates throughout the year and can be booked through the Spa Valley website.
Passengers can choose to alight and explore the countryside and attractions at High Rocks, Groombridge and Eridge. Fares include unlimited travel between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge.
A special offer has also been arranged for visitors who visit The Junction Inn at Groombridge – show your Spa Valley Railway ticket on the day of travel to receive a 10% discount on food purchased.
COVID-19 procedures include regular cleaning of train door handles and other surfaces throughout the day and passengers are required to wear a facemask unless medically exempt whilst sitting in an open carriage and inside the railway buildings. Masks can be removed if seated in compartment coaches and the door is closed.
Passengers do not have to pre-book unless they would like a guaranteed seat for a complete return trip without a break of journey.
What to see and do along the line?
High Rocks – High Rocks Inn and the High Rocks themselves, under 18s must be accompanied on the rocks.
Groombridge – Junction Inn (10% discount on food at the Junction Inn when producing a Spa Valley Railway ticket) or visit the Crown Inn. Visit Groombridge Place or take out a bike from Country Bike Hire at Groombridge Station to explore the beautiful Forest Way.
Eridge – Visit The Huntsman Pub for a bite to eat.

£14 – Senior Return (60+) – Open Coach (£11 on the day)
£7.50- Child Return – Open Coach (£6 on the day)
£30 – Family Return (2x Adult & 2x Child) – Open Coach (same on the day)
Trains run throughout the day with the first departure at 10:30.
