Bewl Water invites local charities to their enchanted Christmas wonderland as an exclusive gift before it opens to the public.

Saturday 18 November will see a large number of local charities from various sectors represented as Bewl Water, southeast England’s largest reservoir in Lamberhurst, opens their doors for a very special launch event to their fully immersive Christmas experience – ‘Christmas at Bewl Water’.

From the single parent charity, Gingerbread, to The Pickering Cancer drop in centre, West Kent Mind, Nourish Community Foodbank, and the Children’s Respite Trust, to National charities such as Age UK and British Heart foundation, to name a few, the magical wonderland will be dedicated to the generosity and hard work of these charity workers and their families who tirelessly serve in the local community.

The team at Bewl Water have curated a family focussed space (mostly under cover) where people can be truly inspired by the light and joy of the season. The wonderland created hints to stepping through a magical wardrobe into Narnia, into the storybook lands that might have only been accessible in our imagination, but now these imaginations have become reality.

The enchanted wonderland will see guests wander and explore four magical aspects of a make-believe land. From being embraced by Mrs Claus’ bakery to decorate cookies, to stopping by Santa’s post office to write letters to the big man himself. You’ll also be transported to the elves’ workshop to make reindeer food and decorations, and be fully entertained by the festive storytelling performances of the resident elves.

Bewl Water truly has been transformed into a fully immersive and interactive journey, finishing up with a private visit to Santa in his grotto for a personal meet and greet, and of course, a gift.

Bewl Water are no strangers to supporting and hosting both local and national charities but this day feels even more personal as the site is such a family focussed destination.

“We really hope that our exclusive, fully gifted charity day will leave our guests with a good dose of sparkle to carry with them into the work they do, and the hope they bring to others through their work”.

“Our charity day is our way to give back to our community as so many of these charities give out so much during the year and no less during the festive season ahead”.

Bewl Water is fundamentally about embracing each season for the joy it is. As the landscape changes one thing remains the same, at the heart of Bewl Water is one mission, to provide a space for the whole family to enjoy all year round.
