By Rail

From London: Tunbridge Wells is located less than one hour via train from a number of main London Stations. Royal Tunbridge Wells is on the Southeastern mainline from London Charing Cross to Hastings. Direct services run at least every half hour calling at London Waterloo East (adjacent to London Waterloo station), London Bridge, Sevenoaks, Hildenborough and Tonbridge. There are also connecting services from Gatwick Airport, via London Bridge.

From East Kent (Ashford, Canterbury, Dover etc.): It is an easy train ride from East Kent. Stations include Staplehurst (for Cranbrook & Sissinghurst), Paddock Wood and Royal Tunbridge Wells (with one change at Tonbridge).

From Sussex: You can also arrive in style. Board a Spa Valley Railway vintage diesel or steam train into Royal Tunbridge Wells from Eridge on the Uckfield line from London Bridge or East Croydon!

By Car

Royal Tunbridge Wells is located where the A26 and A21 main roads meet. Both these A-roads run north to south between London and the South Coast.

The A21 and A26 link to the M25 and M20 motorways within a 20 minute car journey of each.

By Bus & Coach

From Gatwick: To catch the bus from Gatwick airport, take the Fastway Bus No. 20, then change at Three Bridges for the 291 Metrobus.

From London: There is a regular commuter coach service from London to Royal Tunbridge Wells. Visit the Centaur website for timetables.

From East Sussex: There are several bus routes available from East Sussex into Tunbridge Wells.
