Royal Victoria Place (affectionately known as RVP) is an award-winning shopping centre with over 50 well-known High Street brand names all under one roof.

The main entrance is situated overlooking Fiveways near the Millennium Clock at the ‘top’ of the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Small businesses also sell their wares at little stalls, like flowers, jewellery and scarves.

Once you are in the centre you will be mesmerised by the fragrant soap shop, the flowers, the cafés and the fresh pretzels!

There are frequent events for the family to enjoy making it a good rainy day option.  Recently there was an exhibition of photographs of the Titanic as well as original artefacts.

Fashion shows are fun; artworks hang on the walls and there is wifi available in some of the cafés.

Facilities and practicalities

Little ones are welcomed with push along cars and Playworld, a small soft play area. Parent facilities include designated parent and child parking, baby room, microwave and wristbands for child safe shopping.

A concierge desk is manned during opening hours of 9am – 6pm, until 8pm on Thursdays and 10.30am – 4.30pm on Sundays to help with any queries.

The free Kids Club membership has discounts from many outlets offering great deals.

The food court offers a range of choices on the lower floor, and toilets are just nearby.

The centre is light and open and spread over three floors with 2 department stores as well as some independent shops and stalls to offer the full Royal Tunridge Wells flavour.

The car park adjoining is a multi-storey and facilities include toilets and lifts.

The back door gives way onto a small market square where the Tunbridge Wells Independent Market is held every Saturday fortnight.

Accessibility is pretty good, there are disabled only spaces in the car park and disabled toilets in the centre.

Shopmobility can be found here for the hire of manual chairs, powered chairs and scooters, open Monday to Saturday 10am – 4.30pm.

Coaches can drop off at bus stand J on Goods Station Road round the back. The main bus stops are also just outside the front next to the pedestriansed Calverley Road shops.
