Find peaceful tranquillity in Dunorlan Park, just a 20 minute walk from the bustling centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

A place of beauty and serenity

Everyone who visits Dunorlan Park is thrilled by the Park’s beauty and serenity.

The park is a popular place to unwind for romantic strolls and picnics as well as providing plenty of green space for families to play, feed the ducks, walk the dog, do Tai Chi, sketch…

Dunorlan Park is Grade II listed because part of it was landscaped in the 1860s by Richard Marnock, a prominent Victorian gardener, when it was the 78 acre gardens of the grand mansion built by Yorkshire millionaire, Henry Reed.

Discover other inspired historic features like the Grecian Temple and the lavishly ornamental Fountain built to be in ‘harmony with nature’.

“One of the best Parks I have visited in the past 60 plus years”

Dunorlan Park is well-known for its attractive boating lake along with ponds and terraced café nestled on a slight rise overlooking the lake.

There are a variety of other things to see and do: the water garden, marshlands and outdoor activities such as pond dipping, dragonfly spotting, fishing, bird watching, tree trails and gardener walks.

During the summer, have fun splashing around on the pedalos and kayaks available for hire on the large central lake.

You can easily spend two or three hours here as the grassy inclines invite you to wander quietly and fully relax.

Come and experience it for yourself.

Gold Medal Winning Park

One of the finest parks in the area, we are delighted and proud to say that Dunorlan Park is a Gold medal winner in the South and South East in Bloom Competition for the fifth year running in 2016.

It is also the proud owner of a Green Flag Award (since 2006) which means it is “a welcoming green space, healthy, safe and secure for all” and “managed in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way.”

It has great accessibility for all and looks fabulous all year round. Take a little preview in the leaflet with a map on our Brochure page.

Guy Fawke’s night in Dunorlan Park is a very special night in the Tunbridge Wells event calendar as the bright fireworks shot into the sky are mirrored in the lake.

Every week, a free Parkrun is held on Saturdays, starting at 9am.  Simply register once and off you go.
