We're delighted to announce that the 1887 built Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 'Ironclad' 52044 will visit the Spa Valley Railway this April courtesy of our friends at The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the 957 Bower's Trust. Famous for its starring role as the 'Green Dragon' in the 1970 feature film 'The Railway Children', 52044 will be operating on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st April. Over the long Easter Weekend (18th to 21st), the 'Ironclad' will join fellow Victorian locomotive Caledonian Railway No. 828 operating our services. Click here for details of our Easter services.

We're calling on you to sleuth it out and find the murderer over a few drinks and supper on board one of our heritage trains! This service is scheduled to be hauled by both a steam locomotive and a heritage diesel locomotive, subject to availability.
