The next stretch of the walk takes you into the ancient woodland between Pembury and Tudeley where you can enjoy a walk under the blanket of trees. As you head out of the woodland and reach Tudeley we recommend taking a brief detour to All Saints’ Church in Tudeley. The only church in the world to have all of its windows decorated by the world-famous artist, Marc Chagall, and one of only two places to see his stain-glass windows in the UK.
You can also stop for refreshments at The Poacher and Partridge in Tudeley. As you pick the trail back up you’ll head through countryside and farmland before heading back into Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Day three: Groombridge & Speldhurst

Take a steam or diesel train to High Rocks or Groombridge, or walk the same route and enjoy the sight of the train roaring through the countryside. As you arrive in Groombridge enjoy one of the pubs or head to nearby Birchden Vineyards where you can grab a bite to eat, enjoy a vineyard tour and wine tasting experience.
Pick the trail back up and head to nearby Speldhurst village with optional refreshment stops at the George and Dragon before you head back into Royal Tunbridge Wells via the Rusthall and Tunbridge Wells Commons.
