RTWSO opens its 2025/26 season with New Artistic Beginnings, welcoming Music Director Peter Selwyn. Featuring Wagner’s Die Meistersinger overture, Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3 with Callum Smart, and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.

Enjoy folk-blues guitar and timeless melodies from Cork musician and songwriter Pepe Belmonte.

RTWSO’s A Musical Smorgasbord features Beethoven’s ‘Emperor’ Concerto with Tom Poster, Nicolai’s witty overture, and Nielsen’s powerful Symphony No. 4—a bold mix of brilliance, emotion and orchestral colour.

RTWSO’s Fairy Tales & Golden Legends offers magical music and storytelling, from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Dvorák, Humperdinck and Rimsky-Korsakov. A festive escape into myth, magic and orchestral colour.

Comedy show at Frittenden Memorial hall, startting at 7:30pm on the 9th of December 2025. Join Professor Victor and Dr Albert for an evening of riotous comedy, audience interaction, original songs, games, mayhem and a sprinkling of magic. A good old-fashioned feel-good, two-man variety show. For ages 14 and above.

RTWSO’s Russian Winters & Daydreams features Stravinsky’s witty Pulcinella Suite, Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto No. 1 with Richard Harwood, and Tchaikovsky’s lyrical Winter Daydreams—a rich, emotional journey through Russian orchestral colour.

RTWSO’s Land Without Music? concert celebrates English composers with Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia, Coleridge-Taylor’s Violin Concerto performed by Fenella Humphreys, and Walton’s bold Symphony No. 1 - a powerful reply to critics of Britain’s musical legacy.

RTWSO’s season finale bursts with colour and energy, featuring Gershwin’s An American in Paris, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G with Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, the hypnotic Boléro, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition—a triumphant celebration of orchestral brilliance.
