Princess Victoria stayed in Calverley Mansion as a young girl, now Hotel du Vin.

A boutique restaurant with arguably the best view in the ‘burb! Overlooking the Kentish countryside, a most romantic place to walk, and the foundations of the original 1700s Spa bath house. This is apparent in the appropriately named Happy Valley below the Hundred Steps in the gardens of the Beacon, Tea Garden Lane on the edge of the village of Rusthall(5 minute drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells).

The Paper Mill Weddings 

Near Hawkhurst village, deep in the heart of a Kentish woodland a small but perfectly formed wooden bower stands glistening in the scattered sunlight as it filters down through the leafy canopy.  The Hay Barn dating back to the 1800s this beautiful building remains untouched and bursting with charm.  Pure white doves flit in and out of their very own cote and an old donkey grazes in the paddock – a perfect pitch for a marquee of your choice. Bewl Water

Luxury ‘Glamping’ Bell Tents available including a special bridal tent or make use of the Bewl Belle boat.  Bewl Water is in a large country park near to picturesque village of Lamberhurst.  This means space for kids to run around, uncles to dance and granny to stroll.

Water Lane

Events can be held under the beautiful large white stretch-awning on the terrace, overlooking the walled garden. With blessings in the garden and a bountiful and seasonal family-style sharing menu alongside a full wine and drinks list, for up to 80 guests. There are also two atmospheric Victorian glasshouses, which are heated during the colder months. The Carnation House holds up to 50 guests seated over two long tables with views over the gardens, while the smaller Pelargonium House is perfect for more intimate celebrations, hosting up to 32 guests. 

The Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast is a British English phrase for the celebratory meal eaten just after a wedding (at any time of day) by the couple and their guests.
